They both find their source of support in their sole dreams: he wishes to Brazil to join his brother on a ranch, and she dreams of finding love. Pushed by gangsters, they learn that dreams are easily crushed.

Sighting a stolen car used in the killing, Larry pursues it and is killed by the driver. Ken is taken from the training academy and given the assignment of impersonating a known auto-thief, now in police custody, in the hopes he will be accepted by the hot-car ring working the city. He gets close before his identity is discovered and he is confronted at gunpoint by the gang-leader.

While investigating the disappearance of a woman they stumble across a series of abductions/possible murders, which appear to be linked to the mysterious eye-patch wearing artist Klaus Tiller, and his hirsute, werewolf-like assistant Morpho. (Adrian Hoven and Michel Lemoine, both also from 'Succubus'). The pair attempt to earn their clients' fee, catch the baddies, and simultaneously evade capture themselves by the police.

There is no patronizing of the black race in this cinematic cry for justice. A fifteen-year-old boy called Duke is ambitious to buy a "piece" (a gun) from an adult racketeer named Priest, to become president of the gang to which he belongs, and to return them to active "bopping" (gang fighting) which has declined in Harlem. It is a clearly patent allegory of an attempt by Duke to attain manhood and identity in the only way accessible to him - the antisocial one.
