Sunday, September 7 - Terror Aboard

Terror Aboard (1933)

One ship discovers another adrift. When the crew board, they find the ship abandoned except for a few corpses.

In flashback, we see corporate crook Max Krieg (John Halliday) get a cable telling him that at any port the ship lands, he will be arrested. Krieg proceeds to kill one by one the rest of the passengers.

Krieg becomes more nefarious and desperate with each murder. Not only that, but he’s a master of manipulating human emotions and is able to direct some lovers quarrels on the ship to suicide. Halliday is cold and calculating as an early cinematic serial killer.

Charles Ruggles provides comedic relief as the bumbling steward.
