John Ireland plays a successful bandleader and composer named Eddie Wilson. One day, he overhears one of the band members humming some unusual music that intrigues him, so he later follows the man to a voodoo ceremony where he is discovered, and forced to join the group, and if he betrays it, will die horribly. Of course, Eddie doesn't listen, and when he plays the forbidden music in public, brings the wrathful curse down on his head, forcing him to take drastic action.

Alan Roper (John Thaw) tells Turf Accountant Larry Hart (Lee Montague) that he is planning to steal £60,000 and Hart offers to launder the money for him at his usual rate ('Five to one', ie £12,000). What Hart doesn't know is that it is actually his money Roper intends to steal, ie the £12,000 Hart will gather to pay him.

Hart tells his clerk not to bank his takings that week because he will need at least £12,000 of ready cash for a business deal, in fact it is to cover his arrangement with Roper. Meanwhile Roper has set up his girlfriend Pat (Ingrid Hafner) to have a sexual liaison with married insurance broker Deighton (Ewan Roberts) at a flat where Pat is babysitting. Roper and his associate Len (Brian McDermott) pose as Pat's husband and a private detective threatening to site Deighton as a co-respondent in their divorce. Roper blackmails Deighton into revealing details of Hart's insurance policy at the shop which include security information and the safe combination.

When they receive the policy details from Deighton they discover that his company have only overseen the insurance for his house, not his shop. So Roper and his gang engineer a complex plan. They break into Hart's home after drugging him and make copies of his house and shop keys. They then stage a dummy break-in at the betting shop but get away before they are caught. This forces Hart to put the £12,000 into his safe at home where Roper's gang plan to steal it. This all goes according to plan except Hart had his suspicions and had the combination of his safe changed after transferring the cash. However determined not to be outdone Roper and Lea mess up the house and wait until Hart arrives home. When he opens the safe to check it they knock him out and steal the cash...

Perry Mason is taken by surprise while working late one night when a beautiful blond enters his office from the balcony. When Perry turns on the lights, she quickly tosses her revolver into a flower pot next door. She claims to be Virginia Colfax, a secretary who works in the office next door. She says she had to make a quick exit when her boss' wife showed up unexpectedly. The next day, the man from the office next door, Ed Garvin, consults Perry on a proxy battle with his ex-wife. He also assures Perry that he has only recently re-married and is certainly not having an affair with an attractive blond. When Garvin returns to his office he finds the gun which he locks in his desk as he must leave. When Perry determines that his quickie Mexican divorce may not be legal, he tells Garvin and his mew bride to go to Mexico and stay there until he can figure out just what is going on. Mexican gangster Pablo Braganza (Leo Carillo) plays by his own rules. When a movie theater owner stops an altercation by having famous singer Chivo (Nino Martini) entertain, Pablo kidnaps Chivo and takes over a radio station on his behalf. Later, inspired by the American gangster movies he loves, Pablo abducts two more innocents and set out to find American gangster Butch (Stanley Fields). His hope is that the American bad guy will teach him how to be more like screen mobster George Raft.

Chivo, a singer who works in a movie theater providing live entertainment, is and apprehended by a music-loving Mexican bandit Braganza who wants to make Chivo part of his band. Braganza, who admires American gangsters, also kidnaps Jane and her rich boyfriend, Bill. to become more like the American movie gangsters he admires.

Gerald and Marianne Harcourt are traveling by car when the car breaks down and they have to spend a few days in a small, remote village. It doesn't take long before they are invited to Dr. Ravna's castle. Without their knowledge, Dr. Ravna is the leader of a vampire cult, and he has become astonished by Marianne's beauty.

Gerald (Edward de Souza) and Marianne Harcourt (Jennifer Daniel), are a honeymooning couple in early 20th-century Bavaria who become caught up in a vampire cult led by Dr. Ravna (Noel Willman) and his two children Carl (Barry Warren) and Sabena (Jacquie Wallis). The cult abducts Marianne, and contrive to make it appear that Harcourt was traveling alone and that his wife never existed. Harcourt gets help from hard-drinking savant Professor Zimmer (Clifford Evans), who lost his daughter to the cult and who finally destroys the vampires through an arcane ritual that releases a swarm of bats from hell.

Promising his friend that a defense of momentary insanity will acquit him, he also promises to kill his own wife if the defense actually works.

Million Dollar Legs (1932)

While visiting the mythical country of Klopstokia on business, brush salesman Migg Tweeny (Jack Oakie) collides with a young woman (Susan Fleming) on the street and the two fall instantly in love. Her name is Angela—all the women in Klopstokia are named Angela, and the men are named George—and she is the daughter of Klopstokia's President (W. C. Fields), whose country is bankrupt, and who relies upon his great physical strength to dominate a cabinet that is conspiring to overthrow him. Tweeny, hoping to win the hand of The President's daughter in marriage, presents him with a plan to remedy Klopstokia's financial woes: The President is to enter the 1932 Summer Olympics, win the weightlifting competition, and collect a large cash reward that has been offered to medalists by Tweeny's employer. Tweeny then sets out to find athletes to make up Klopstokia's Olympic team, and quickly discovers that the country abounds in athletes of preternatural abilities. The team, with Tweeny as their trainer, boards a steamship bound for America.

Meanwhile, the rebellious cabinet ministers, who are determined to sabotage Klopstokia's Olympic bid, have enlisted the services of "Mata Machree, the Woman No Man Can Resist" (Lyda Roberti), a Mata Hari-based spy character who sets out to destroy the Klopstokian team's morale by seducing each athlete and then setting them against each other in a collective brawl. Her efforts have the intended effect: when the team arrives in Los Angeles they are in no condition to compete. After a pep talk from Tweeny fails to inspire them, Angela tracks down Mata, defeats her in an underwater fight, and forces a confession from her before the assembled team, which restores the athletes' fighting spirit. They take to the field and begin winning events.

By the time the weightlifting competition begins, Klopstokia needs only three more points for victory. In the film's final scene, Tweeny excites The President's fierce temper in order to inspire him to a final superhuman effort. The President throws a 1000-lb weight at Tweeny, missing him but winning both the weightlifting competition and the shot put for Klopstokia.

Jim is a compulsive gambler. He meets Marge at a boarding house and they get married. His gambling causes problems. When he runs into old flame Valerie, Marge leaves him. After a few years he returns, but she is now in love with old flame Pres. Jim buys racing dog Dark Hazard and makes a fortune which he loses on roulette.

A weak-willed gambler's compulsion destroys his life in this dramatic character study. He falls in love with his disapproving landlady's daughter, who ignores her mother's advice and marries him. On their wedding day, he vows to never gamble again, but soon he is back to his old tricks.

Barmy has put together a group of alleged musicians to play in blackface at his aunt's 50th anniversary party. Pauline, in London, is alarmed because a man is following her, so Bertie is drafted to escort her to Chuffnell Hall in her car. Naturally, they run out of gas and have to spend the night at a little pub. Chuffy is understanding when Stoker blabs about the two of them spending the night on the road, which offends Pauline; doesn't he care enough to be jealous of her? Stoker lures Bertie onto his yacht and locks him in a stateroom until a forced marriage can take place; Jeeves liberates Bertie, who escapes by posing as one of the blackface musicians. Bertie, Stoker, Sir Roderick, and all Barmy's musicians wind up arrested in blackface in front of Chuffy as the local magistrate.
