Working in his isolated desert laboratory, scientist Alex Marsh discovers a gas that will paralyze the mind and render it susceptible to suggestion. Believing this discovery to be a means of averting nuclear war, Marsh continues his experiments despite the objections of his fiancée, Carol, and fellow scientist Tom Holland. Following a mishap in mixing chemicals, Marsh inadvertently kills his assistant by merely touching him. Realizing he carries the touch of destruction, he goes to ask his old friend, Dr. Ramsey, to find an antidote. But it is already too late.

Several people gather at an inn adjacent to a prison where a man is scheduled to be executed at midnight. Just as the clock is about to strike midnight, a man comes in and confesses to the crime. He is arrested. The rest of the guests, who have come to retrieve the original inmate's loot from a post office box, now try to get their hands upon the stolen money. Treachery and mayhem ensue. Eventually someone calls the police and everything works out for the best.

But when the 'experiment' seems to be over, Sullivan falls into more trouble than he ever dreamed of.

Scotland Yard strongly suspects the wife of being involved in the killing but also needs to take drastic measures when one leading policeman is found dead as well. They bring in a mysterious Australian crime fighter who prefers to hang on to his anonymity and conducts his interviews hidden from view by a couple of beaming lights. One-eyed men, strange Indians and oh-so altruistic priests all stand in the way of solving the mystery behind the killings that shock London.

Butch is motivated to pursue a life of crime in order to provide the lovely widow Susie O'Neill with the funds to support herself and her little son. Butch is the lookout for a gang of safe crackers. One of them is forced to bring his squalling baby son along with him on the job. Butch is obliged to mind the baby while the safe is being knocked over.

Yeah, I know. That's not what really happens. I couldn't find a good plot summary for this one. Didn't ANYBODY actually watch this movie?

He hits upon the idea to have the blonde believe he lost his business, by writing a letter instructing his partner to wire him that his business went broke. But he gives the letter to a school official who forgets to mail it.

An elderly stage mentalist makes no pretense that his clairvoyant act is purely for entertainment. But one night he is seized with a vision of a death in the boxing ring. He sends the father of his beautiful stage assistant to warn the manager of the ill-fated boxer, but the bounder makes a bet on his prediction instead and wins big. The whole thing has everyone in the theater spooked. Meanwhile, the mentalist has other visions of death and especially fears for the safety of his assistant, who wants to get married and leave town. Her skeptical fiancé thinks the old man has greedy motives for delivering a dire warning about a twisted road sign, but his predictions are all proving horribly true.
