Eugene Pallette is a soap tycoon who tires of son Norman Foster's feckless carousing, and so pays big-eyed blonde secretary Carole Lombard to lure him into the world of work. Foster then enlists "Skeets" Gallagher's go-getting ad man to make his new '13 Soap' (which doesn't technically exist) the biggest brand in the country.
