Dr. Mort and his cohorts kidnap real BBC newsreaders from the Television Centre, replacing them with doubles to broadcast fake announcements about an impending apocalypse and a mock nuclear raid on London.
The staged global panic is a diversion designed to clear the streets so Mort’s men can pull off massive heists on banks and jewelry stores.
Adam Adamant investigates the doomsday claims, gets captured by Dr. Mort's forces, and must break free to stop the criminal conspiracy before the fake catastrophe causes widespread chaos.
