A gunman travels to New Orleans during Mardi Gras to avenge his murdered friend. He devises a scheme to blackmail the corrupt labor union leader responsible, only to realize he is being manipulated in a deadly double-cross.
The film is loosely based on Dorothy B. Hughes' 1947 novel Ride the Pink Horse
