Actor Anthony Franciosa goes completely ape sh*t in this stranger then strange "Naked City" episode as BoBo Ba Boom also known as the Gorilla who takes a monkey shine for pretty office clerk Rita Rakahowski, Carol Eve Rossen, at his place of employment on the Brooklyn waterfront. It's the new boss at the packing wear-house Mr. Buberone, Nehemiah Persoff, who's also taken a shine to Rita which drives poor BoBo or Gorilla totally wild with jungle or monkey passion. Passion enough to make Buberone's job at the wear-house as miserable as possible. Swinging from the rafters like they were jungle vines BoBo gets so out of control that Buberone fires him and orders the hot in the pants, for Rita, gorilla man to leave the premises at once. This leads to a job action by BoBo or the Gorilla's fellow workers who feel that without him and his expertise in throwing things all over the place and in the right places the work there would never be done.

With the help of the captain of police (Grant Withers) and Dayton's comely secretary (Maxine Jennings), Wong pursues the case, which grows more complex when a second body is found.

Unfortunately it is jointly owned by their younger brother, a Cambridge professor who plans to donate it to the University library upon his promotion to Master. When Lovejoy discovers the Bible is a fake, Professor Doncaster admits that he had to sell the Bible years before to support his sisters and now needs the upcoming promotion and its subsequent pay-raise to ensure their security. As a sidebar, Tink and Charlotte try unsuccessfully to convince Beth's dad that he should allow his daughter to remain an apprentice to Lovejoy.

Among the travelers of varied backgrounds that meet and interact on one night at Union Depot, a metropolitan train station, are Chick and his friend Scrap Iron, both newly released from prison after serving time for vagrancy. Hungry and desperate for a break, Chick fortuitously comes across across a valise abandoned by a drunken traveler. In it he finds a shaving kit and a suit of clothes with a bankroll, which help transform the affable tramp into a dashing gent. After buying himself a meal, Chick seeks some female companionship among the many hustlers who walk the station. He propositions Ruth Collins, a stranded, out-of-work showgirl and takes her to the station's hotel. However, he quickly realizes she's not a streetwalker but another hard luck victim of the Depression. Touched by the Ruth's sincerity, he vows to help her buy a ticket to Salt Lake City, where a job awaits her. Scrap Iron is lucky too, stumbling across a wallet with a claim check discarded by a pickpocket. When Chick claims the violin case, he finds it filled with cash, unbeknownst to him, counterfeit. As he buys Ruth a new dress and train ticket, the real counterfeiter and secret servicemen begin closing in on them.

'Stilton' decides he wants to do Bertie a mischief. Florence's father Lord Worplesdon, Aunt Agatha's second husband, is in New York to sell his boats to businessman J. Chichester Clam but the deal is meant to be secret and the press keep pursuing Clam - even on the hotel fire escape. His Lordship's niece Nobby will benefit by the deal as it will gain her the money needed for her beau George Caffyn to put on his play. Jeeves decides that to preserve anonymity everyone should meet in disguise at a penthouse fancy dress party, leading to confusion in high places.

Tony Ryder's uncle, the wealthy owner of a newspaper, has just died. The young playboy Tony inherits the paper but is left with a board of directors that thinks he's unsuited for the task, plus a hotel detective who thinks Tony should know about a girl who was seen running away from his uncle's Palm Beach hotel room, wearing nothing but a Turkish towel and an earring, on the night of his death.

Tony discovers that the young lady in question, Katie Robbins, is employed in his own research department. The board decrees that he must send in the detective to watch her and head off any attempts at blackmail. But the more time Tony spends trying to get Katie to open up about what her relationship to his uncle was, the less he cares. Complications ensue in the form of Ms. Robbins's fiancé—he's a strait-laced veterinarian—and the board's insistence that Katie be silenced at all costs.

Mr. Moto's Gamble (1938)

Bad blood exists between Bill Steele and Frankie Stanton, the leading contenders for the heavyweight title, and a grudge match is scheduled. Steele's knockout victory is tainted by his opponent's untimely death, ostensibly from a concussion caused by hitting the canvas. A post-mortem reveals that poison was somehow introduced into a cut above Stanton's eye although it is unclear how and why. Gambling might seem to be the motive as several of the principle suspects, gamblers Clipper McCoy and Nick Crowder, Stanton's shady manager Jerry Connors, and fight promoter Philip Benton, all seemed to have made wagers on the fight. Benton's spoiled daughter and female reporter Penny Kendall are vying for the affections of Steele, who is now slated to fight for the championship against pugnacious Biff Moran. Lt. Riggs of New York Homicide and Moto, who were spectators at the fight, go on the trail of the murderer following the autopsy results.
