Friday, Oct. 19 - Lovejoy: Ducking and Diving
When the sale of an oversized antique Welsh cupboard falls through, Lovejoy is stuck with the enormous piece of furniture and a mover's bill. After Charlie Gimbert pulls his leg about wanting it he ends up storing it with Eric's uncle Jack, a pub owner in the salty western marshlands. Tink joins Eric for a leisurely inexpensive vacation consisting of drinking and birdwatching. After attending a dinner at Charlotte's along with fellow antique dealers Ellen and Bill Palmer, Lovejoy falls under the suspicion of an ambitious and ruthless Metropolitan DCI who suspects that Lovejoy is dealing with stolen smuggled European furniture. The detective becomes convinced that Lovejoy is guilty when the supposedly collegial Ellen sics the policeman on his trail.

Monday, Oct. 15 - The Hide
On the windswept Suffolk mudflats creaks a bird-hide, inside which hovers Roy Tunt, a prematurely aged, mildly obsessive-compulsive birder. With one more sighting - the elusive sociable plover - he will have 'twitched' the entire British List. Tunt has his shortwave radio, packed-lunch and a portrait of his ex-wife Sandra for company. Suddenly, in the midst of a conversation with Sandra's portrait, the hide door blows open and a bedraggled stranger - unshaven, edgy and bloodied introduces himself as Dave John, a fugitive from the storm. After a tense introduction, the two men discover that they have a good deal in common, sharing sandwiches, tea and personal exchanges which are frank, poignant and often funny. As the two men begin to form a close bond news of a police manhunt sets them both on edge driving their fragile relationship to a tragic conclusion.

Saturday, Oct. 7 - Foyle's War: A War of Nerves
DCS Foyle and Sgt. Milner investigate what they believe is a black market operation in the docks area. They set up a dummy company, with Milner at the head, to see what they might find and soon enough, they are approached by someone working at Talbot's shipyard. By chance, the station desk sergeant's daughter works at Talbot's and has important information for Foyle. When her boyfriend, a sapper with the Royal Engineers, is called out to Talbot's to disarm an unexploded bomb, he and his mates find something else that leads to one of them being murdered. Throughout all of this, Foyle is hounded by Assistant Commissioner Rose who insists that Foyle drop everything and investigate the activities of Raymond Carter a so-called communist agitator who is staying in Hastings.
