After dodging a prison sentence by informing on his wife’s brother, who’s sent up for the robbery they committed, Paul Delito’s wife leaves him, vowing to teach their son to curse his father for snitching. (This all happens before the show starts.)
The only thing sustaining Delito is the hope of winning forgiveness, and when his brother-in-law is later released and in hiding after committing armed robbery and murder, he seeks out the man to plead for his pardon.
