When the seaside town of Walsham Bay is rocked by the murders of a black marketeer and a taxi driver, the police appeal for witnesses. Pretty actress Molly (Natasha Parry) comes forward with information, and is taken under the protection of Detective Inspector Jack Viner (Edward Underdown) and Walsham Bay's superintendent (William Hartnell). However, before long the killer strikes again, attacking Molly in her room.
