Bound together by a sturdy pair of handcuffs, hardened criminal George (Jack Warner) and naïve youngster Willie (George Cole) escape from prison and go on the lam, reluctantly forming a shaky alliance to remain a step ahead of the police and the eager reporters on their trail. With absolutely no qualms about murdering innocent civilians in his way, George grows frustrated trying to dump Willie's dead weight and strike out on his own.
