Charming romantic comedy in which two strangers, a widow Leslie Farrar (Jessie Matthews), and a Canadian bachelor, Fergus Wimbush (Ian Hunter), are bequeathed a fortune if they marry each other within a year. Leslie masquerades as a maid and the two fall in love, but when Fergus learns of her deception, he angrily threatens to return to Canada.
